Some bed and breakfasts are now old banks an located right in the center of the town or village and this in itself can be a great advantage and may even have rooms when everything else is not available.
One of the other trends is booking bed and breakfasts online but many people still prefer to call in order to get a feel for the people they are staying with and also to reconfirm how far away they are from all the major ares they want to visit.
Checking also with the owners can often tell you if there is a local event on at the time and this cannot often be found on the internet. Also some areas you would like to visit near the bed and breakfast are seasonal and these details can often be missed during a search on the internet with many sites not mentioning these details.
